Delicate, elegant and progressive: The new Vaia series of fittings by Dornbracht

March 2017 – This spring, Dornbracht, the manufacturer of luxury bathroom and kitchen fittings introduces Vaia. Inspired by eclectic style, the distinctive design of the new premium designer fitting is both elegant and progressive. Vaia is equally at home in traditional and modern bathrooms, as well as those that combine elements of eclectic style worlds.

The Vaia series incorporates a soft, balanced design language with an attitude that is receptive to anything new. Its delicate spout features a traditional shape and transposes to a new, open silhouette. There is a traditional feel to the handles as well – available as cross-handles or levers – they combine geometric shapes and soft contours. The rosettes are tapered, creating an especially smooth transition to the washstand.

The clear design language of Vaia is a response to the varied and increasingly complex interiors of tomorrow. Vaia blends elegantly into the mix of present-day living styles, creating a familiar and harmonious atmosphere while maintaining a progressive aesthetic. With fittings and accessories for washstand, bidet, shower and bath applications, Vaia brings creative freedom to transitional bathroom design.

Vaia is available in platinum matte and polished chrome finishes. Beginning in autumn 2017, Dornbracht will introduce a new finish: an exquisite dark platinum matte. Its dark, lightly brushed silk matte color is warm, soft and grounding, creating a feeling of old-world charm in the bathroom. The new variant provides another opportunity to individualize the bathroom.

Vaia is based on the design principles that characterize all Dornbracht series. The “5 Ps” – Proportion, Precision, Progressiveness, Personality and Performance – create a sustainable and long-lasting aesthetic appeal that is evident in the new Vaia series. Its proportions are balanced, harmonious and precise with a design shaped by clear lines and exact transitions. The workmanship is outstanding, down to the last detail. With Vaia, Dornbracht reinterprets and sets news trends that contribute to a progressive style of interior architecture.

Vaia will be available in May 2017. Dark Platinum Matte will be available exclusively on Vaia beginning in Fall 2017.

About Dornbracht

Aloys F. Dornbracht GmbH & Co. KG, with headquarters in Iserlohn, is a globally active, family-run manufacturer of high-quality designer fittings and accessories for bathroom/spa and kitchen.
The Dornbracht brand claim “Culturing Life” continues the years of discussion and debate about these environments and expands the company’s fundamental design and water expertise: technological innovation to promote connectivity and comfort, and the prevention of ill health through a focus on daily well-being, will increasingly characterise the company’s future brand orientation and product development. Dornbracht is forever designing - and cultivating - life anew. A long-running cultural commitment through the Culture Projects provides Dornbracht with an ongoing source of fresh inspiration, while advancing innovation and technology leadership in bathrooms and kitchens. The intelligent, open Smart Water system makes Dornbracht one of the first to transpose the opportunities and possibilities of digitalisation to these environments. Dornbracht is part of the Dornbracht Group that, along with Alape, brings together two premium bathroom and kitchen suppliers.

Dornbracht is an industry pioneer and in 2010, became the only brand manufacturer worldwide to change to using lead-free materials for its entire product range of washstand and kitchen fittings, in compliance with Proposition 65 (USA), some of the toughest drinking water legislation in the world. This ensures that all the fittings that are sold and installed on the washstand and in the kitchen from which water is taken for human consumption, meet the statutory requirements for metallic materials coming into contact with drinking water. By the end of the transitional period on 10 April 2017, the values will not only have been meeting the legal standards of the Federal Republic of Germany and of the Federal Environment Agency “positive list” for many years, they will also be far lower. Dornbracht is making a sustained investment in high-quality and cleaner materials, as a clear example of premium quality that is “Made in Germany”.
